My name is Mio Lütz Krank and I am a freelance artist living in Stockholm, Sweden. I am specialized in illustrations, comics, and short animations—often exploring themes related to Nonviolent Communication (NVC), as well as broader topics in emotional expression and storytelling.

In 2024, I was nominated for the Student Competition at the REX Animation Film Festival with their animated short “My Far Away Friend.” The competition highlights outstanding student work from across Sweden, showcasing emerging talent and offering a glimpse into the future of animation. My film was one of just nine selected for this prestigious program.

I have also developed an illustrated book project exploring the theme of voice dialogue.

I have studied three years of art and visual storytelling, followed by two years of animation at Konst- och Kulturakademien in Stockholm. For
the Sweden IIT 2025, I have designed the logotype, cover illustration, venue map, giraffe/jackal symbols, and a short comic.

I’m passionate about character development and portraying emotion—finding ways to make complex topics digestible through visual
storytelling with a light, playful touch.
